Another important factor to calculate a goal difference of some soccer team is the number of goals which this soccer team conceded. The number of goals conceded is the number of goals conceded by the soccer team during one competition.
How to calculate goal difference?
The goal difference is calculated by dividing the total number of goals scored by a soccer team conceded in a certain number of matches subtracted from the number of goals scored a soccer team.
Types of goal difference
The goal difference may be positive or negative depending on the relationship between the number of scored goals and the conceded goals by some soccer teams in a certain number of matches.
Positive goal difference
If the soccer team, for example, scored 70 goals and conceded 15, the goal difference of this soccer team will be at +55. The soccer team, therefore, has a positive goal difference.
Negative goal difference
If the soccer team, for example, scored 35 goals and conceded 55 goals, the goal difference of this soccer team will be -20. This soccer team then has a negative goal difference.
